In this blog we are going to learn about Korean words for
months. If you know how to count from 1 to 12 in Sino Korean numbers then you’re
more than halfway to learn the Korean words for months and if you don’t know
about Sino Korean numbers yet do check this blog 👈to learn about it.
For example, March is the 3rd
month, in Sino Korean number system 3 is written and pronounced as 삼(sam). So, march in korean is 삼(sam)
+ 월(wol) = 삼월(sam-wol). Easy
peasy.
But remember there is an exception. June and October are pronounced a little differently. June should be pronounced as 육(yuk) +월(wol) = 육월 (yuk-wol) but this is not how June is pronounced it is a little different, same case in the October month name too. Let’s look at the list to know how they are written and pronounced.
