Understanding and interacting with technology is essential in the current world. In today's world, technology has dominated every aspect of life. This generation has seen a huge increase in coding. Kids must be technologically literate, or in other words, they must be familiar with technology.

There are a lot of websites online which will help kids to learn coding and practice their coding skills. One such game and website is Code Spark.

The logic games in Code Spark use the same drag-and-drop gameplay as those in the other apps, but the atmosphere of the games is more arcade-like. Of all the apps I tried, kids seemed to like Codespark's games the most.

A screenshot of one of the loop-using drag-and-drop games is shown below.

Kids are introduced to more complex programming concepts like variables and inequalities, stacks and queues, and boolean logic in the "Explore" part of Codespark. There are some games that are better than others at reinforcing these ideas, and for many of them, your kid will need some assistance to progress through the stages. I discovered that some of the games in Codespark are not that intuitive, and like a lot of programming learning, the assignments often feel a little forced. Here's an illustration from the game "Stacks and Queues," where you have to select the animals from the platform in the right sequence to fill in the corresponding character at the bottom.

The game in the above illustration is quite entertaining and difficult, however my kids interest might be decreased after a short while. So once more, the balance these applications are trying to cross is making sure the games are entertaining and engaging while still teaching programming skills.
