Why is it important?

It will help with your listening abilities and with that you’ll also sound more like a native Korean speaker. You might get Korean Friends easily because you can understand their jokes and will be able to follow Korean movies, dramas and songs better. Like take an example, any foreigner who is learning your language or living in your country uses your native slang words while talking to you. You will get excited about how he knows your slang, sarcasm, etc you will be able to communicate with him better and you both might become good friends. So, learning slang words is also important.
